Welcome to us

The Placement Unit consists of three groups, each with its own group leader, working with children and young people placed outside their own homes.

Two of the groups work with children placed in foster homes, and each group consists of four child caseworkers and three foster care caseworkers. Additionally, there is a special foster care caseworker responsible for recruiting foster homes. The third group, the Placement Group, works with children and young people placed in other forms of care such as group homes and supported living. The group consists of four social workers and one school coordinator.

Your role

As a foster care caseworker, you investigate, support, and guide foster homes to create safe and stable environments for children. You are a close support throughout the placement and collaborate closely with child caseworkers. Travel is included in the position – primarily in Stockholm but also in other parts of the country.

As a child caseworker, you follow up on the care of children in foster homes. You build trusting relationships, maintain contact with parents and networks, and collaborate with foster care caseworkers. The work is conducted according to SoL and LVU. Your qualifications and experience

We see that you have:

  • a degree in social work
  • good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
  • experience working with the specific target groups

We consider it an advantage if you have:

  • experience of authority work within children and youth
  • experience working according to Signs of Safety.
  • a valid driver's license (B)
